This year TRAILS finalists included artists from Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. The works reflected a range of media, techniques and experience, providing viewers with a broad spectrum from which to cast their People's Choice vote.
The Australian Tern is in the family from the Ancient Greeks gelao, “To Laugh”. Terns can be free from natural predators but decline from human activities like disturbance by dogs and vehicles. In some cultures, they are protected, in others they are sought after as a delicate food choice, their eggs to be an aphrodisiac.
