This year TRAILS finalists included artists from Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales. The works reflected a range of media, techniques and experience, providing viewers with a broad spectrum from which to cast their People's Choice vote.
This imaginative navigational beacon, constructed entirely from up-cycled materials and objects, symbolises the dramatic development of navigational aids and instruments over time. It reflects a progressive journey of invention from basic buoys and lights to current comprehensive satellite-reliant technology.
