This year TRAILS finalists included artists from across Australia. The works reflected a range of media, techniques and experience, providing viewers with a broad spectrum from which to cast their People's Choice vote.
Angela Ryks
Eternal Kitty is a mythological being of lives past and present. A creature that lives forever on souls of those that have passed away. Fully painted faces represent new souls while depleted souls are fading into oblivion, never to return. While a cat may have nine lives, Kitty has infinite lives (souls).
Kitty has no eyes, as it has no true soul of its own.
