An exploration of Western district iconic and historical landmarks is evolving in my studio with both sculptural and drawn pieces. Drystone 1 is hand built unfired clay piece. Representing the fragile construction of drystone walls in property division. Fragility and impermanence of past history. The base features handmade paper from an East Gippsland alpine ash forest logging coupe, representing my families history and another fragile layer of time past.
